How It All Started

GhumYatra was born out of a simple observation along the mountain trails of Nepal: the most breathtaking, memorable travel experiences were never found inside generic chain hotels. They were found in a three-generation heritage stone home in Mustang, an apple orchard farmstay in Marpha, or a secluded forest villa looking out across the Annapurna massif.

Yet, these remarkable local hosts were largely invisible to the outside world, held back by complex platforms, steep intermediary commissions, or lack of modern digital tools.

In 2024, our team set out with a dedicated purpose: to build Nepal’s premier digital concierge for curated Himalayan stays — uniting authentic local heritage with effortless booking, secure payments, and uncompromised guest safety.
